This one is for the guys. Notably, the amateur guys.

Ok, so there's a lot of women out there who dance while their husbands don't. And their husbands are ok with it for a variety of reasons (from "it's her thing and she's paying for it" to "I fear she may kill me in my sleep if I ask her to stop.")

But, are there any husbands who do it whose wives don't? I mean, I don't really care if someone I meet does, since it's my thing and my private time, but I feel like I need to keep it a secret, otherwise she'll feel like she's bested in something she's been led to believe women should be better at. And I'm not giving it up for someone else's insecurities.

Pro guys need not respond - I know pro guys whose wives/girlfriends know it brings home the money. And, of course, those who use their job title to plant the seed of free lessons in the minds of women they meet at the bar... use and be used.

Did you not see the two movies {Shall We Dance]? I've been an Instructor for over 20 years and as I say in teachers meetings we have, I teach people that don't want to be there. Many a man has been drug to dance class only to fall in love with the art form. I snuck out on my girlfriend 30 years ago and, she caught me at a Honky-tonk standing by a pole watching people dance. I couldn't help myself. I was born to be and addict. Shall We Dance

How come these old posts show up as current?

Message threads are arranged by date of the most recent activity, with the newest appearing on top. "Activity" consists of any additions or modifications to articles within the thread. So anytime a new reply is posted or one is modified, the thread will be bumped to the top of the list.

If a thread gets bumped to the top but does not appear to have changed, one of three things may have happened: (1) A new reply was posted but then deleted shortly thereafter, (2) A new reply has been posted by a non-user, and is currently in the queue for review by an admin (and therefore not yet visible), or (3) The message was bumped by an administrator.

I sometimes bump old topics, either if they've been featured in a recent newsletter, or if a question has gone unanswered and looks like it needs some help with a refresh. In the case of this article, however, it was bumped by a reply from a non-user, and so wasn't yet visible. But it is now.
