We learned the Rumba Cross in Foxtrot. Many figures can be danced in both Foxtrot and Waltz, with the obvious change in rhythm. Why not the Rumba Cross (I expect to hear from the purists about this)?

When I first learnt to dance the Rumba Cross was only used in the Quickstep. At that time it was very much in vogue.

You May do the Rumba Cross in the Waltz as a syncopation. This of course is open work. With the mans right foot free facing diagonal wall. Count : 1, 2 + 3 man will end on left foot - lady on right. Follow with a natural turn.
