Lack of flexibility holding me back

I am becoming a better dancer and my footwork has improved immensely in the past year but my flexibility seems to be providing me with roadblocks with ease of hip rotation and all around hip movement.


Can someone recommend a daily stretching routine for the groin, pelvis, hip-flexor region?

I will never succeed in higher levels without flexible hips. Help!

These exercises, although labelled for splits, are amazing at opening the hips, hamstrings, and hip flexors:

Also, if you do any kind of yoga, the (screaming) pigeon pose can work wonders, as well as any kind of standing body twists.

It can be done, just takes time and patience!

Take the trouble to find out what is the Cuban Motion and how to do it correctly. Then practise every day.
