Hi Amanda,

anything with extra cushioning would work great! Have you been dancing fora long time? Maybe a short heel would help. What brand of shoes did you buy? :O

Hello Amanda,

I want to suggest ordering ballroom shoes from http://www.exoticsalsashoes.com/. Recently had the same problem with a pair I bought on ebay but came across this site and I love them! I have skinny feet so needed a Narrow width but didn't have to order narrow, medium seemed to work fine on the style recommended by their customer service. Try calling them and they will guide you in the right direction!I'll double check for the style I don't remember it off hand.

My wife and I swear by Werner Kerns (Anna Kerns). They're not cheap but she has had major foot surgery and they provide the best support and most comfort of all the shoes she's tried (and she's tried them all, believe me). I find them to be the most comfortable men's shoe out there. And they last - no breaking straps/heels/etc after a couple of comps.

We also swear by Carmen's Dance Shoes in San Diego, CA (no joke on the name). Outstanding customer service. We won't buy shoes anywhere else, even though Carmen's is 2,000 miles from us.
