Who is Bill Mitchell?

Someone recently commented to me that he had worked with Bill Mitchell. I can't recall where else I've heard or read that name in association with ballroom.

To the best of anyone's recollection, has he been mentioned or discussed on this forum?

Mr. Bill Mitchell (not to be confused w/ Mr. Bob [Robert] Mitchell of Greenville, S.C.) was a much respected and well-known coach from the UK. Along with his wife Silvia, Bill was a World-Class Coach, Championship Adjudicator, B.C. Scrutineer, Examiner, Member (Old Time)and Dual Fellow (Modern-Latin)in the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) Bill coached in London and in East Sussex as well as abroad. Bill himself was coached and trained while a competitor by the legendary Mr. Len Scrivener. Bill was also a personal friend of Mr. Walter (Wally) Laird. Additional information MAY(?) be obtained through the 'Registrar' of the ISTD or through the archives of 'Dancing Times'. His last(known)address was:
Mr. Bill Mitchell
"Seadown"
157 Marine Drive
Rottingdean
East Sussex BN2 8AA
Tel: 011-44-273-302681
Bill died several years ago and will be missed greatly by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Thanks, Friend.
