I am new to ballroom dancing and am taking dancing lessons at the moment. I am very impressed with the helpfulness of the step diagrams in the learning center, and I look forward to you adding more step diagrams where they are not yet available.

Looking at the charts on this web-site is a good way to learn. If i can point out to you that in the Foreward Walk under the heading of Mid Stride you will find that the same step on a Backward Walk is identical. In other words if you froze at the extent of your stride you could be going either backwards or foreward. Sometimes just to learn this very small point early in your dancing career can be helpfull Pay particular attention to the heels and the toes of both feet and where the weight is situated. No nodding backwards or foreward. See if you can comfortably do this with an extended hold, one going backward the other foreward ,all slows, and again don't nod

Don: thanks very much for the tip. I will try it. Are there any other web sites out there that are helpful?

Jim. if there are web-sites such as this out there I am yet to find one. There were two in Australia for discusions that for some reason closed down. Neither of these had any teaching videos .I think it makes this one unique. I take my hat off to the people responible for this very excellent web-site. The amount of work put into this must be enormous. I particularly like the dance lesson on spins and turns, which being that my direction is more towards Latin I found most helpful Thanks guys.
