Bones. To learn how to do Cha Cha Walks you really need a tape or DVD. Learn also how to execute a Latin Cross. Walks as the knee straightens on your first step the heel will lower on the beat, not just arriving on the ball on the beat.Repeat on the other foot and into a Latin Cross which is step onto a ball flat. The rear foot locks up behind, with the toe of the rear foot to the heel of the standing foot. Both feet are turned out. The rear knee can knock into the back of the front knee, at this point your weight is dead in the middle Both knees are flexed and if you do this in slow motion you should be able to stay in that position. As the rear knee knocks the back of the front knee it will snap forward at the same time you push with the rear foot. Stay on the toes or balls of the feet untill your forward step which is ball flat. No foot has left the foor throughout the whole move.Straight from the book. A Latin cross is when the RF. is crossed behind the LF , both knees will be compressed and the_Hips Level. Foot work is B flat . Ball. Ball-flat. Do this around and around the room as much as you can stand. Timing is for the Cross 4 and 1. The two walks are 2. 3. Then learn how to do a Back Lock. It is not a mirror image of the foreward movement so be careful. Having said all of the above some of the top dancers are clearing the floor as they step foreward. So there you go.

you can also do this: back step on your right or left...right for female and left for male..then walk foward: step together stepthen foward step. Sorry, it is confusing but just ask your teacher for extra help.
