They changed the rules yet again yesterday. The posted rulebook says the rules are in the process of being rewritten and gives a set of rules that expired on May 2nd, but doesn't say what is in effect thereafter - which is to say at this moment.

This is fustrating....

If we are to comply with the requirements, how can we if this is a moving target....

Perhaps I am the only one that needs to put together a month in advance what I can, cannot wear.... Either it is no costumes, or it is costumes.....

I am more than willing to comply with the standard...but ca'mon, tell me what the standard is... OUCH

the only safe thing to do is dance novice, or pass up on usabda and do ndca comps until they get their act together.

Sure, we could do NDCA comps, and as a matter of fact due participate in quite a few each year....

But as an amatuar couple, dancing at silver and gold level, we are somewhat of a rare entry... There is minimal competition. This is ok, as we kind of just compete against ourselves and compare our performance to the last comp that we competed in...

I love the USABDA comps, because it is the only time we are truly competing... At our level, NDCA is for Pro/AM only. Then of course there is the cost.. NDCA entry fees will cost us well over $1,000.. if we limit our entires, USABDA maybe $200.

I just cannot justify only danicng Novice so I know what to wear... I prefer to err on the side of under dressed/costumed all up, and have the opportunity to compete with other couples at my skillset...

DAMN... did I vent here or what???
