No, your NEVER too old to start ballroom danceing. I just started last september at 18 and im well on my way to being a good dancer. i compete already. Unlike things like figure skateing and gymnastics, you dont have to start at 4 and you dint reach your peek at 17. Also of ballroom dancers dont start till much after your age. find a nice independant studio (i find chains to be more pricey) and get started. also once youve gotten started go to social dances, even if your just about competition. danceing with so manny differnt people who lead differntly and dance differntly will help you grow as a dancer. Once you get to college in a few years you should see if your college has a ballroom dance club/team, or if they dint , then start one. collegic competitons are great. your not too old to be a really good dancer and compete. If you live in Massachusetts (eastern half) you should check out the ballroom dance studio Super shag in waltham. they are really good. remember your younger than most that start ballroom, i wish i had started at your age though, its just soo much fun.
