Has anybody notice that in the World Super Stars 0 3 DVD none of the demonstrators danced a Rumba over 25 bars a minute. So why are we dancing at 29 to 30 bars a minute. My teacher tells me that to do the amount of hip movement that is being taught the music cannot be too fast. If it is the first thing that goes are the hips. A few years ago the Samba was reduced in speed for the same reason as above. I wish the powers that be would occasionaly have a review of the recommended timing to see that it fits the techniqe that is being taught.

I get what you are saying, nut, once- not long ago- I was dancing the Rumba @ 45 bars/minute... I think that we even did 52 once...?... It's hard, but exhillerating. A sleepy week to recup followed immediately after.
