Pass vs Turn

Can someone tell me what an "Underarm Pass" is? I noticed that in the "Dance Dictionary" on this site, there is no definition.

What is the difference between an Underarm Turn and an Underarm Pass?

(Also, are the definitions of Inside Turn and Outside Turn on this site correct? They look backwards for some reason.)

Thanks!

I assume you are referring to West Coast Swing. Also some Lindy Hop. IF that is the case WCS then this will be easy.

In WCS we dance in a slot. Think of a small piece of a railroad track. Gal dances up and down the slot. Guy dances in the slot and up on the track (either side dependant) to get out of her way. In a PASS the gal dances down the slot, turns around 1/2 turn needed (can turn 1/4 then 1/4 as traveling and ending) and ends facing the man again at the other end of the slot. He has moved out of the way and turns. Letting you PASS him. This is a very simple example. There can be extra (rolls and such) turns done as you are moving down the slot and at the end (during the anchor) of the slot but a basic PASS is going down the slot, at the end turn to face the man. You are now at the other end of the slot. Hope this helps. Delighted
