Set up between M&L

We all know that the Tango has a different setup, ( body position between the man and the lady ). Is it the same setup in the Waltz as it is in the Quickstep, or is there a difference. If so what is the difference ?.

For syllabus work it is the same or nearly so. Perhaps the connection feels a little higher in the body for quickstep since the swing is centered around a higher point meaning the bodies are always more vertical than in the waltz.

Many people have a looser hold in open quickstep... not that they should (sometimes it is really broken) but they often do.

In syllabus, all that outside partner can cause hold problems. In open, the introduction of promenade causes problems.
