Appropriate contact

I was recently at a milonga dancing with someone I know through dance classes and respect. In the last set we danced, he moved his hand several times down from my lower back to my buttocks. At the time it felt like part of the dance, but now I'm wondering.... Is this an accepted move in Argentine tango, or--and I would hate to think this--was he just making a move? (He knows I'm engaged to someone else).

Are you serious? Of course it's inappropriate. And even if there were some sort of "accepted" dance move with any form of contact that makes you uncomfortable, you should immediately let him know point blank that he has crossed the line... no matter how much you like his dancing otherwise.

Remember, it's your body. Only you can decide what constitutes appropriate contact.

This reminds me of a story a previous coach once told me about. He was used as an expert witness in a sexual harrassment case against a highly regarded dance instructor who allegedly taught a move he called the "T-Whip". (Use your imagination on that one). Just goes to show that even the best of dancers aren't necessarily above using their status to get a little action.

Regards,
Jonathan

I have just seen ur message, I'm from Argentina and let me tell u that none of as "dancers" could touch a girl in a way appart from tango. The Touch must be pure and gently, kind and passionate, but not in a way of suggesting sex, but in a way of suggesting love.
ASk whatever u want to my adresse and sorry 4 my english I'm out of practice
