What dance does the man step back first?
Almost every time the man step forward but there is one where he steps back first, Can anyone tell me?

Both leader and follower can step forward and backwards as their initial step, it depends on the step/dance you are talking about. I dance standard, so i only need to look at the technique book to know if i should be stepping forward or backward as my first step, depending on the figure i am looking at.
