we are learning to dance 4 our wedding, our song is when u say nothing at all by ronan keating, our coach is learning us a rumba, but due to a lot of turns it's not going to be suitable for me in my wedding dress as i have a loop i hook over my left arm so i can stop myself falling over it.

as the foxtrot is also a 4/4 do u think we can do that instead?

thanks!!!!!!!!!!

It all depends on the mood you want for the first dance. Foxtrot gives you a different feel than Rumba. Rumba is the dance of love and might be more appropriate for the first dance. Can't you just alter the routine a bit to do less turns ? Have you spoken to your instructor about your problem ? How long do you have until your wedding ? How much foxtrot do you know ? These are all questions that will help you decide on whether you want to do a different dance.

Maybe you could do something called Slow Dance simple step touch, frwd, back, side balances, can move it in many directions and promande it. Can move all over the floor without a lot spinning. But how much time do you hve to learn a new dance? That would determine what you could do. But it is not under Balroom dancing normal dances so you might be out of luck if you have a studio or teacher that is strickly a Ballroom/Latin instructor...
