Soleus Problems?

I had a badly broken right ankle when I was younger.

Now I'm older! LOL!

Regardless, on the outside of the right leg and above the ankle I now have a muscular problem. I'm not quite sure this is the Soleus but perhaps.

Icing and wearing an inflatable cast have produced some benefit but not as much as I'd like.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to treat this?

Hi bob
You should go see a good sports physio, who will make an assessment and give you some exercises to strengthen or re-educate the muscles. Unfortunately, injuries don't always heal 100% on their own (as iv'e discovered to my cost).
If you have always had some pain in the muscle, you very like have pain inhibition, which causes the muscle to waste even though you're trying to use it. A good physio will suggest something to counteract this. Or it may be something more complex and a scan may be needed.
My strong advice is to get the best treatment you can.
