first dance with newer songs

Hi, we are taking lessons for our first dance. My fiance felt foxtrot is the easiest for him. However, we haven't been able to find a contemporary song for it as it seems it's all 40's, 50's jazz song. Do songs by Billy Jeol or other current singers will do the foxtrot? Thanks. -Claire

Claire: Take a peek at The Mavericks song called "My secret flame". Words are cute and tempo is slow enough for the first dance jitters. Also, look at a Suzie Boggus song called "Burning the toast". Words in this song are about after the wedding and setting up house. Very cute. Owen

Check out 'Our Love" by Natalie Cole, "Every Breath You Take" By Sting and Robert Downey Jr. Tim McGraws remake of the Casinos "Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye" Rod Stewart has several remakes of the old standards. Billy Joel's "Just The Way You Are" and "She's Got A Way", Elton John's " Someone Saved My Life Tonight" and "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" Also Check out Amazon dot com. go to music then type in wedding songs. You can listen to samples of most.
