Music too fast

Dance Rumba Walks down the floor with the correct hip action at 30 bars a minute if you can. Then do the same at 25 bars a minute. Which is the better, Do professionals demonstrate at the recomended tempo as in the book. I don't think so.Take a look at The World Super Stars 03. I believe that the book needs to be adjusted annualy to cover not only music, but steps as well. Otherwise we are stuck with this one for the next x amount of years. One wise gentleman wrote in a dance paper that he didn't like the snappy way the Rumba was being performed in competitions today. Well slow the music down and the dancers will slow down .One of the very top teachers has an expression, try to lift your hip to your armpit, use the hips as much as possible. To fast music the average dancer not will be unable to do this, or get anywhere near it on the competion floor. Not like they can in the studio. I doubt if any of you have had a lesson where the speed of the was anywhere near thirty. What do you think.

Don, I'm sure we've been through this here before. It would take a very foolish DJ to play rumba at 30mpm for competition. 25 mpm is within the allowed range of the rulebook.

So what exactly is it that needs fixing?
