Step 5 of the Nat. Spin Turn in Waltz rises e/o beat 2. The step has a footwork of H-T because it's preceded by a Nat. Pivot, which never has a rise. So we can say the Figure "Nat. Spin Turn" has 3 parts:
- Closed Three Step Turn (beats "1, 2, 3")
- Nat. Pivot ("1")
- Spin Turn ("2, 3")
When we take this subdivision into account and dance step 5 after the pivot like the start of a little 'new figure' it is much more easy for the man to do the correct footwork, rise etc. AND to lead the lady's brush between step 5 and 6.
