Does anyone know if you can use the Hot Fix Crystals and Irons on the the fabrics that we use for dance outfits? Fabrics such as lycra and othe sythetic materials. I'm itching to buy one of the irons but not if it's gonna melt my dress!

Yes, you can use Hot Fix stones on dancewear fabrics, but you need to be careful and practice using the Hot Fix tool on some scraps of fabric first.

Personally, I hate doing Hot Fix because for me it's slower than using regular glue. I use a toothpick with a little bit of beeswax on the end and use that to pick up the stones by touching the beeswax to the glass side of the stone. I then press the stone into a glue dot on the dress, and the stickiness of the glue usually pulls the stone off the beeswax. For the glue, I just poke a hole with a saftey pin in the top of the squeeze bottle it comes in, and put about 25-50 dots of glue on the dress at once, and then stick the stones on.

I know other people who love using Hot Fix, though, and won't go back to using regular glue and stones because it works so well for them.

So, the best advice here is to just try it and see.
