I'd suggest you have a look at the music section on this site.

I'm affraid Rihanna and Pussycat Dolls might not be the most fitting music for ballrooms. And though Scooter do have a Habanera mix, neither is techno.

You might want to look at Leonard Coen, Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe. For Foxtrot and the odd Walz.
Its fascinating how you learn to appreciate music when you learn to dance to it. Though I always liked Sinatra and it freaks me out when my dance partner sings along to "I want to be kissed by you, just by you..."
