Hi to Everyone. Can anyone explain to me why step 4 of a Hockey Stick in the Rumba is not classed as a fwd walk turning when danced by a woman. Thanks in advance.

How are you counting?

The lady turns after stepping onto her right foot, on 3& of the second measure which I would probablly call step 5.

It is a common mistake for ladies to turn a step early (on 2&, which may feel familiar as it's the timing of an alemana).

LatinBod. It has to be that the 5th step we turn at the end of and not into.
There is 3/8th of a turn on that step.

Hi,
The 5th step is not in question. The lady's 4th she makes an 1/8 to the L. Once again, can anyone tell me why it's not a forward walk turning. By the way, Don. 3/8 to L IDTA and the UKA, but 1/2 to L ISTD.
