Percussive Beat.

Hi,
Could someone please help me to understand and hear what the 4th beat in the Rumba music is. Reading a Latin Technique book it states that there is a percussive accent on the 4th beat. Thanks.

Down conduct sign on the musical accent ( 1 , down, 2 left , 3 right ,4 up ). You may find the time signature is clear. My father taught me that when I was 3 years old.
Sometimes , the accompaniment rhythm may play as 3/4 1/8 1/8 ,1/2 1/2 , 1/2 1/2, 1/2 1/2 .
