Lady's spine-neck line

Hello,

I'm just entering Open level in Standard. As a lady, I'm always striving for a beautiful extension line, but often I find myself breaking neck line. Do you have any suggestion as to how to keep my neck line straight up and beautiful in line with my spine, say just like Giola's?

Thank you.

Interesting that you mentioned Gioia as an example of lady dancer with beautiful posture. Did you watch 2004 IDSF competition on PBS early this year? The English commentators constantly commented on a lot of lady dancers' poor posture. Even though they complimented a lot on Gioia and her partner's dancing, they thought her posture still needed improvement.

I missed the show on PBS - could you explain what is considered "poor posture" - lack of stretching? too much back extention?
