How much do you talk to other dancers?

I attended a ballroom charity event yesterday where there was very little dancing involved. Some of us had lunch afterwards and talked about dancing and a variety of things. We had all known each other for about 5 or so years and in someways everyone felt like trangers. Most of the time while dancing you are listening to music, watching, or dancing. It's hard to talk much at a dance studio with all the activity and loud music. Afterwards, everyone has had their dancing fix and ready to go home.

I have a few friends that I phone chat about dancing with, but other dancers I know their faces, dance styles, smile--but have actually have had very little conversation with them or know them that well personally.
