hey all... can any of you give me advice on where to find good but fairly cheap (preferably $50 or under) ballroom dance shoes? thx!

Hi, I have had a pair of just practice shoes that don't wear for comps but they have held up nicely. I think they were around $60 USD but mabe less. The brand is called *Very Fine*. But i wouldnt go with capezio shoes too muuch money and within a mounth I no longer had a sole in my shoe.

Hi again, I ordered them from my local dance store that sold cheaper ballroom shoes they usually have a catalog or you can order them of line aswell. Online has more of a variety. And you wanna look in the classics.

Check ebay, search ballroom shoes. For guy shoes that I got cost me $15 but the shipping costed me almost the same amount of money. The shoes are new. You don't have to bid it just uses buynow option.

Dancing socially and practice, especially if it's on a floor with no support system, I use Capezio Fierce Jazz Shoes. They have good support and are about $35 at DiscountDance.com.
They are great for swing, hustle, salsa,
and other latin dance. I even use them dancing Am. Smooth socially.
