Giving credit where it is due. Walter Laird first published in 1961 the Technique of Latin Dancing which was, a long time, ten years, before anybody else wrote there Technique Book.

Hi to All,
In 1961, Walter was commissioned by the then, Dance Teachers' Association (DTA) to write the technique for the Associate examination. The publication proved so popular both in the UK and abroad that he was then asked to extend the work to cover both the Membership (Licentiate) and Fellowship examinations. The first printing then appeared in 1964.

Henry Jacques published a technique book long before that.
