I put a floor into my basement and it was great for over a year, but they installed it incorrectly so that now it is severely warped (like dancing on a trampoline), and now I cant get in touch with them despite frequent phone calls, registered letters, etc. Next stop= lawyers.

SO- buyer beware.

The website in question is
www.sprungdancefloors.com

I know you might have thought of this but shouldn't you have designed the basement for the ballroom first? Just thinkin'...

Anyway, the standard floor is 40 feet by 80 feet. You'll need to add about 20 feet on each wall so that you can seat people etc. The floor is sprung (floating) and not put directly on concrete.

Please post pics here when you're done - and also the house!! A house with a 100' by 60' basement must be gigantic...

Unless all you're looking for is decor for your finished basement....

We have just built a house with a large columnless basement for the purpose of having our own ballroom and now in need design ideas. Are you aware of any websites with pictures, specs, etc.? Thank you.

That must be so horrible! Sometimes an attorney is the only thing that gets their attention. Have you reported them to the Attorney General in your state? They are pretty good about getting action. Also, report them to the BBB. We have someone locally doing our floor to our specs and we'll keep our fingers crossed there will be no problems.
