When dancing a reverse weave, do you stay on your balls or do you go through the heels?

Usuaully the footwork as written, though all TH/NFR is interesting to try as an experiment now and then.

That's what I thought, too. Last week I did watch a DVD from the UK open and I was curious about seeing the best professionals going down to their heels there.

I'm sure that, dancing a reverse weave in foxtrot from promenade position, i do a heel lead on my right foot on step 1. Then it's all toes.

Phil. That's correct.
If you did a Reverse Weave from a closed position like a checked Reverse Turn. The first step which is a replacement would be a heel lead and is a quick. It is worth mentioning for the not so experienced that a Weave ends with a type of Feather Finish, You must be on an even number of beats. Which is Eight.
/Seven or Nine/ something is horribly wrong.
Phil If you want to be different. You can do a quick on the first step and put the slow in as you would at the end of a Reverse Turn.

Actually that would be a basic weave aftter a checked reverse.

"Phil If you want to be different. You can do a quick on the first step and put the slow in as you would at the end of a Reverse Turn."

This would go well with the idea of lowering on the step preceding the feather finish portion - the footwork to do that is given as a legal option for both the basic weave and the weave from promenade; the timing to do it would likely be justifiable as "artistic interpretation"

Anonymous, The Basic Weave from the check cannot have a slow in it after the check. Otherwise you will be out of time.

True unless you replace the quicks by syncopation, which actually used to be a popular thing to do... remember the 'quick ' weaves?
