Hi=)
just wanted to say that i really admire you all being good dancers. I rally want to be so myself, but here in Norway ballroom dancing isn't very popular.
Anyway, I just wondered about something.. You see, next week I'm going to a casting for hairmodels and I was told that the ones they pick, have to learn to dance "charlton", or something.. can someone help me? I tried to find out what kind of dancing it was by searching on the internett but didn't get any resoults related to dancing.
(pleace help me)

If it is Charleston some someone else mentioned, it is one of original forms of swing dancing. It is not real common today, but some Lindy Hoppers learned it to add to their Lindy options.

The Charleston is the basis of the International Style dance Quickstep; also the basis if the 'one step'...

It is a syncopated 'freestyle' dance that is done usually solo.

Anon. Who on earth gave you that bit of information. A gent named Wally Fryer first introduced a Charlston step into the Quickstep. Wally was also King of the Scatter Chasses and was rarely beaten in the Quickstep. He once did a Charlston on the flat top of a London Taxi as part of a special parade.
