Just saying "no." ?

My question concerns a woman asking a man to dance and being declined with no further comment than to say "no". I certainly understand reasons for a person to turn another down, being tired, feeling insecure about one's own dance level, having an injury, just needing a break, or having promised a dance to someone else, or just not liking the past experience with that particular partner. I just find it rude to receive a plain "no,", (not even a no, thank you), without any polite excuse given. I am lucky in that I am usually the one being asked. But on occasion, I have have done the asking, (and feeling insecure about it). But what do you all think of this and have other women out there experienced this? Guys, at least make a polite excuse! I know, try not to take it personally.

In life, we all want to be liked by everyone else. Some wants it more than others. And when some one else don't like us or don't want us, it can be devasting to the self-esteem for some. So, you just have to accept the fact that not every one will like you or will want to dance with you. Brush off the rejection. Thank you for not wasting your time. And move on to the next one.

Welcome to our world ladies.
