New to dancing

Hi, my name is Tiffany and I'm new to the world of ballroom dancing. I have done ballet for most of my life, but now that I am in college I have decided to try other forms of dance besides ballet. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for me about a good way to break into this form of dance.

Key is training and putting what you are taught to practise. I would check with the college first. Some colleges have ballroom dancing organizations and provide very economical training and opportunities to dance.

A couple of years ago some guy wrote in that he approached the college he was attending and was given the exclusive use of a hall within the school as a dance venue and went on to form a club. Not all can be that lucky.But how many have tried.

Remember that ballroom is a whole new world of technique and that some ballet habits will have to be put to the side.
