pls excuse my dense -ness
Shouldn't that be "please excuse my density? :)
At any rate, yes, it was a misspelling.
"Picture Lines" is a dancers' term to describe a stationary (or mostly stationary) pose, usually in ballroom styles (i.e. smooth & standard) and usually involving extension of some combination of arms, legs, back & neck, etc. The extensions are what create the "lines".
Not all poses are picture lines, which i why its a term used primarily in ballroom (much less in Latin). I suppose all picture lines are photo ops, but certainly not all photo ops are picture lines. You can look pretty good while moving.
Hmm... now that I think about it, maybe not all picture lines are photo ops. What if your throwaway oversway really sucks? Do you want anybody photographing that?
:)
