Ajay It is possible it has been turned into a Sequence Dance. There are two that are currently being danced in some clubs called. Sunshine and Sweetbay, both are Salsa's. There is every possibility that someone has composed and called it the UK Salsa. As of yet it hasn' t reached our shores. It is well worth a visit Google sequence dancing qld. There is another world of dancing out there.

Good to hear from you.
I had mailed to Mr.Super Mario and the reply is...

I dont know about the UK style, as such, but Leon Rose started this LONDON
STYLE thing.
I have no idea what it means, but we fuse alot of New York Style, dancing
on1 with some cuban body movements ( thats his description ) and since we
all reside in London and teach every weekend, in a different country,
hence the name for differnece. ;)

so i don't think there is any distinct salsa dance style called uk style salsa like ny or la style.hope to se more replies...

Ajay. There is an excellent DVD that was made in London and should be available there
Its called Salsa Inferno it is by Carlos Paz It bears the name Magna Pacific. On it is explained that Salsa has the Cuban Motion that is the movement of the hips as in the Rumba but faster We still have the 4 beats and three steps in the basic. Keeping the shoulders fairly still but the hips moving all the time.
