Has anyone had any experiences with shoes from Moonlight or Salsa 9pm? I am looking at a couple of pairs on ebay and just wondered about the quality. I own a pair of Very Fines and they are okay, but not really terrific.

Thanks!!!

I used to think that Moonlight, Elegance, Veryfine, Apple, Jig Foo, Yu & I, and so forth were all the same shoe with different names stuck on them.

I can't vouch for the rest of them, but trust me when I say Veryfine is VERY DIFFERENT from Jig Foo.

Jig Foo is TERRIBLE. The leather is fake, the heels are that dreadful, deadly, gridded plastic, and they are not true to size any way you cut it. The buckles actually RUSTED on them... they sat on a freakin' shelf for two weeks!

DSOL is also definitely not to be confused.

Of all the "cheapo" shoes, I like my veryfines the best. They only died today (ok, yesterday), rest their smelly, rancid, horribly reeking-like fritos, vinegar, buttermilk, and bleach soles. They lasted eight months.

I don't compete, but I practice two hours a day, every day of the week, doubling that on Friday, Saturday, and sometimes Sunday. I want cheap shoes that are comfortable, and it won't tear me up if they die suddenly during a grapevine incident (like today *sniffle*WAAAAAAAAAH I want Silver and Lefty baaaaaaack!), or I have to trot out to the car without changing shoes to get my wallet (it's always the wallet).

Jig foo is the company that makes DSOL and Very Fine Dance shoes. They Also make Moonlight and Star Dance shoes. Go to their web site jigfoodanceshoes.com and click on their links. David who owns Very Fine is a nephew and Jacksonwho owns DSOl is
a cousin of the owners.
