I'm out there!!!
At the time I started dancing, the hustle and discos were the rave. I took off with it - practiced 7 days/week. Well, that was 20+ years ago, and it's still my favorite.
I don't have any extreme favorite move, but to follow I like rope spins best. To lead, there's this move I do which is really a compilation of a few steps. Someone unofficially named it bow and arrow because that's what the arms resemble when the man pivot turns. It starts out with lady's inside turn, followed by man's pivot turn with sliding arms, followed by sliding door, followed by a wrap spin for the lady.
Favorite spot to dance? I'll be a smarty and say the dance floor
(please forgive me - I like humor in my life).
Favorite songs (Phil Owl is so right - soooooo many):
Romeo and Juliet by Alex Constandinos (sp?) I tried to find this on CD but discovered it's out of print. I have it on vinyl; I guess I'll have to burn it myself.
The Break by Kat Mandu (instrumental)
And too many more to mention...
Regards,
Hoofer
