American Style-Rumba

I can lead the pattern "Shadow Position" in Cha Cha. But I can not convert this pattern into Rumba dance. Help, anyone.

dance an open or separation break-- as the lady commences to walk forward,prepare to change your hand hold to a right to right----- move slightly to your left, dancing a time step in place -- this will accomodate lady on your right side .

I am sorry that I do not get it. Will you be more detail and specific?

Shadow Position in Cha Cha has 8 meas. Will you be able to use that as a guide to show me how to convert to Shadow Positions in Rumba, Pls?

May be you will find me a link for this step.
