An Experiment

We have a system being used here. There are a half a dozen small competitions held where i live. This is only for these few small competitions They run for exactly six hours. The judges are voluntary. After the first two hours the competitors in that block and the judges can if they wish depart. The next block starts. The judges are not allowed to pick up their score card untill one minute has elapsed. A signal is given after one minute. For the remaining half a minute they make their decisions. Some of the events are for none registered couples who dance in their own age group. They could be adult in one group. Or both couples over fifty in another. All have pre- entered. The idea of this is to encourage people to register and to give them a taste of the real world. At this present time the numbers including the spectators are excellent. The entry fee is kept to an absolute minimum. $A10.
