Standard Shoes -- Heel Types
Posted by ireniecat

Hello, I am a Latin dancer training for my first Standard competition. Currently I'm dancing with a Supadance court shoe with a 2" slim heel that I bought years ago and had not really used since. Obviously I need to get a new pair now that I'll be competing. So here's the question--Why do I see court shoes with Latin/flared heels? Is this a new trend? What is the advantage of a flared heel vs. slim heel on a Standard shoe? Thank you!
