Some things that have helped me are:
1)Sit on the floor and make a "V" with your legs. Lean foward with your arms extended foward. Try to get your chest/stomach on the floor. This will help stretch the muscles of your inner thighs.
2)I know this is old school, but it will help you get the splits. THis is how I learned when I was 9. :] Get a stack of pillows. Sit on them in the splits position. (The pillows should be in between your legs.) Sit there for 10-15 min streatching your legs. Do this daily. As you feel your muscles stretching remove a pillow. Gradually all the pillows will be remoed and you'll have the splits. :]
