Complete ballroom "footprint charts" book?

Hi. I am a new ballroom dance student, trying to learn at American-Social type dancing at home. I've been trying to find a book (or software?) that I can use a a reference source showing me all the dance patterns in the "footstep-chart" format. (In other words, not just 'describing' the steps, but showing me the footprints). I find the footsteps-visual approach is the easiest way for me to memorize the patterns.

My problem is that I've examined around 20 ballroom-dance-instruction books. Some of them have only a *few* footprint diagrams (not too many). But most of them have only "text-description" instructions (no visual aids of the footprint charts).

Does anyone know of any *comprehensive* book (or software) that I can get which will show me ALL the ballroom dancing footprint charts?

Thanks

Jim,

No, i don't know of any such book. However, once you know the basic steps, you can pretty much picture the more advanced steps just from reading the description. I would encourage you to take group classes or private lessons ( or combination of both) to get the basics. It is most probably not the answer you were looking for but it will be worthwhile and i am sure the people on the list will agree with me wholeheartedly.
