Hi to All,
Thinking back, I remember the so called, 'slanging match' between Fryer and Moore. Talking to close friends of Alex, I mentioned this, and I was told it's something the dance press had 'blown-up' out of proportion.

Fryer's feud with Sonny Binick was more serious. They danced a live challenge match on TV - I believe with 3 judges - who gave the result to Binick. Wally Fryer went up to the TV presenter and took the mike out of his hand and announced, "It's a carve-up!" He then said that last night, Binick had a party and the judges were invited.

Still thinking back to a Blackpool British Pro, the night Steven Hillier lost his title, I managed to get Wood, Hilton and Hillier together in my eye view. It seemed to me that Hillier's Rolls Royce action made Wood and Hilton look as if they were dancing over a 'ploughed field' (very bumpy)

Talking to one of the judges, after the comp. he said that it's a "different ball game" the dancing public were more interested in the battle between Wood and Hilton. I believe Steven then retired.
