So I just order ballroom dance shoes and of course they were too big so I need to wait longer to recieve in the mail a smaller size :O( .. I danced in characer shoes my whole life and putting on the ballroom shoes was much different. My question is how do you spin/turn in ballroom shoes because the bottem of them is leather. I just bought capezio sofia 2.5 and in those shoes you can slide the shoe like a character shoe. If anybody has any advice how to properly dance in these shoes that would be great! I apologize if this isn't clear but if anybody wore a character shoe they would know the difference I am talking about

They were created to provide the right amount of " traction ".

If you dance on a floor that is " slow " then you may feel more drag, but on top class floors-- nothing else comes close !

ok that seems to make more sense. Obviously it will take some time to get use to but thank you for making it clearer for me :O)

i think there was a thread similar to this... speaking about the friction between the bottom of your show and the floor. too much can create ankle problems.
