AM Spotlight

Just happened to be in an AM the other day and discovered them getting ready for a spotlight event.

As I understand it students and pros performing routines to an audience withjin the studio.

I was told there would be 3 Dances.

Looks to me like students have the opportunity to perform 3 dances but I'm not sure.

I did see a price schedule:

Solo: $xx

Couples: $xx each

Spectator: $xx

Prices included dinner but I was amazed at the cost for this.

Can someone enlighten me as to the process/format and what the students get out of this for the $$$$?

Curious.

OB, some spotlights are free some are not, It depends on the format. I have seen AM charge if there students will be judged; Judges are normally AM teachers from the region. They also charge if the spotlight is not in the studio.

One spotlight it was 125/person for dinner then 125/person entry fee and 25/dance. THis is to cover the cost of the facility/dinner and the judges...I guess. Dont foreget the lesson preparing routines for the event.

I have not seen a spotlight that was limitd to the number of dances, i guess they had a lot of students sign up.

Cheers

Shawn
