:O( anybody has any advice to get rid of the sore/pain (my foot isn't broken. Its just pain from soreness) in my balls of the feet it would be very appreciated! I know to ice them and then heat them and soak them .. If somebody feels icing and soaking in cold water is better then warm water and heating pad please let me know.

My understanding is that icing is better. Your feet have taken a pounding and are somewhat inflamed. Cold takes down the inflammation. Heat is used to stimulate blood flow to stiff/sore muscles and joints -- but with aim of getting them moving again.

LFCirillo. Have you noticed in most stores you can buy for about a $1 a packet of about six brightly coloured sponges made for dish washing. I found if you compress them with your fingers that will come back to there original shape and don't flatten out. I was having a bit of a problem, and was buying a expensive sole insert which didn't last five minutes using them for dancing. Try cutting one of those artificial sponges to size and of course use ice afterwards. Look after those feet.

Taking care of the feet when not dancing is also important. I almost always wear two pairs of socks when I go for long walks with my wife and such. I even wear two pairs of socks if they fit OK and look OK with my dress/dance shoes. That little extra cushion helps a lot. I tend to get pain on the top of the feet if I work them too hard or forget to cushion them in some way. Any problems in the heels or balls of the feet take forever to calm down it seems. Hope the advice given by those on this site helps.
