My favorite is "Dance with Me" by Debelah Morgan, it's fun and cheeky. "Tell You, Tell Me" by Patricia Manterola is also really good.

I think Cha Chas should be fun and flirty. Currently my favorite Cha Cha songs are "I Like to Move It" by Reel 2 Real, "Don't Stop the Music" by Rihanna, and "Some Like It Hot" by Power Station.

Hope I helped!

Lady Marmalade has something else going for it. It is very easy to hear the beats and for those who are a bit shaky when it comes to dancing on the beat and in phrase it would be a great tune to practise to.

It's a pity but most upbeat cha cha's today are played to a disco beat.

cdroge. If the Cha's are being played with a disco beat. Then they are not an International Style Cha Cha. Maybe it might be more appropriate to call them Club Cha's

No, it's happening in competitions also. It's somewhere between cha cha and disco.

Two of my favorite songs to Cha Cha to are:The Way I Are by Timbaland and Tragedy by Marc Anthony. Rie Y Llora by Celia Cruz is also very good.

What have ANY of those, got to do with Latin music ?

The syncopations in "pop" music, are absent , and the "dance " was and is predicated on clave rhythms .
World class comps at present are using indigenous latin ( as they are also, with Rumba ) .

If you don't mind the bellowing of a fairly old, though not ancient, crooner -- "Sex Bomb" by Tom Jones is a fairly decent cha-cha, though I prefer "Smooth" by Santana.
Take a look at the cha-cha song directory on this site, and you'll probably find a few you like. You find that by going into the cha-cha lesson material.
