why is the foot position on step 3 of the open telemark side and sl back as opposed to side or sideand sl fwd, when followed by a wing ?

and a related question (or two questions) what would the foot position be when the open telemark was followed by a quick weave (turning left) - and why ?

Assuming that the 'jill' in your ID indicates that you are a woman and therefore following, it's strange that you seem to be asking about the lead's footwork.

The answer to your questions is that you will be in promenade position at those points and turning left.

Terence will chime in sortly to disagree with me.
