Samba rhythm.

Hi to All,
I remember the late Carmen Miranda use to interpret the samba rhythm phonetically in a very clever manner which, when even repeated by the layman, gave a good idea of the true interpretation of the samba rhythm.

At this moment I can only remember one, which is a two bar (measure) phrase count of 1.2.1.2. It is:

Chic chic bom --- Chic chica bom.

Any readers remember others?

Recently, I've heard the term:

Slow a Slow, a one. For example, when doing a "whisk".

Another beat, which is different from the one above but also used in Samba is: quick quick slow. Cant think of figure right now.

Thanks Guest for showing an interest in my post. What I am asking is there any readers who know of any more samba rhythm sounds that Carmen Miranda use to say? I believe she also used over two bars:

Chic chic bom -- Chic chica bombom.

lluv2Dance. Your going down Memory Lane here. Do you remember the outragous head gear she used to wear. For those who dont know Carmen Miranda was featured mostly in musical films. Usuall when the story took us to a Latin country. Who was that guy who used to do a Flamenco on a table top. Was it ?? Greco.

Well what do you know. She was Portuguese and formerly a hat maker. Which explains the outrageous hats she wore and performed in.
