Women in group classes

My dance teacher is a guy, and I've been doing classes for quite a while. Earlier this week I heard him tell one of the women in class (after class was over) that there was little more he could teach her in group class.
I had noticed that he gives a lot more direction to the guys in class than to the women. I thought that was because the guys have a harder time learning since we have to anticipate, plan our next pattern and then lead the lady to do what we want.
It is also my (probably uninformed) opinion that once ladies learn to maintain frame and respond to leads that they need to spend much less time learning patterns. A good leader can lead a good follower to do almost everything they want to do, even if the follower has never done that specific pattern.
So I was wondering, why do women continue to take group classes once they've learned good partnering skills?
(I understand that women who want to be great need to take private lessons to really nail good technique.)
Thanks!

Brian

I don't know your teacher or your situation but the first thing that came to my mind is that he was suggesting she needed private instruction. Maybe I'm cynical but that sounds like somebody looking to make either more money or a more "personal" connection with a student. I sincerely hope I am wrong.
