i danced in a competition on June 1st at Bankstown and I have been searching for the song we danced the samba to ever since that day and nobody I know in the dance world seems to know what song it is or even what CD it is on. I have attached the youtube link of the round we competed in and was hoping someone there might be able to identify it for me and perhaps suggest a CD that has this song on it. any help you could give me would be great.

Have you tried contacting the organizers of the competition for the names of the folks who did their music?

I have to admit that I'm not familiar with the tune myself. I do agree that it's quite catchy.

Thanks everyone for all of your help. I found the version of this song I was after, it was La Vida Es Un Carnaval by Michael Chacon, it is on the Afro Cubano album.

JJ, I am number 61. My dance partner is in the short gold dress.
